Pension Selection (Pension from the First Pillar or Pension from the First and the Second Pillar)

The service enables electronic selection of the pension. Since the service is highly individualised, the registration is possible with, e.g. an electronic identity card (eOI)

Starting from 1 January 2019, all persons insured under both pillars will be able to select whether they wish to exercise their right to pension only from the 1st pillar (generational solidarity) or from both the 1st and the 2nd pillar (individualised capitalised savings) in the process of exercising the rights to old-age or early retirement old-age pension.

The service encompasses the following steps:

• submitting the pension selection statement
• downloading the signed forms
• cancelling the pension selection statement.

The Central Registry of Affiliates (REGOS) will deliver the information on your selected pension to the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (CPII), which will then adopt a decision on the recognition of the right to old-age or early retirement old-age pension according to your selection.
